Here is a review of the The BUDDY Tablet Caddy ……….
Like many first generation products, The BUDDY Tablet Caddy misses the mark completely. In fact, the BUDDY Tablet Caddy doesn’t even provide a functional replacement for the $5 pill boxes that are sold in every drug store around the country.
Most of these pill boxes which are what the The BUDDY is are targeted for the older generation. If you’re a long haired beach bum like the Muscleflex CEO who is featured in some of The BUDDY commercials and you need a pill box, then you probably have more serious problems than those that can be addressed with a pill box. Many older people are on regimented medical programs but are still competent enough to administer their own medication. However, in most cases someone or yourself would set up the pill box on a weekly basis. Therefore, it would make sense that the pill box is designed with 7 columns and 3 rows or 7 days a week, 3 times a day.
The BUDDY Tablet Caddy has only 3 compartments. For an older person who takes more than 3 prescriptions per day in which compliance to their prescription regimen may be a matter of life and death, the BUDDY becomes a useless pill box for all but a young few who want to be hip and carry around a pill box with an alarm.
The positive is that it’s well designed and looks cool. As a 44 year old man, I have a wallet in one pocket and a cell phone in another. Sorry, but I don’t need a round plastic device in another pocket.
I’ll pass on the BUDDY, buddy !!!!
