Eat Your Cookie Site Review
Submitted by Mom Reviews Blog
With exactly 5 weeks to go until I leave for BlogHer, I’m starting to panic a bit about this extra 20 pounds I’m carrying around my already ample waist. I started the 30 day challenge on EA Sports Active today in hopes of burning off some flab!
I’m also trying really hard to eat less sugar and white flour, but my weakness? Cookies. I LOVE COOKIES. Chocolate chip, peanut butter, oatmeal raisin, I’m not picky! So you can imagine how much I drooled when I reviewed the website Eat Your Cookie, because they make and ship huge, fresh baked cookies! Their cookies are $2.00 each or $18.95 a dozen, and if you live in the Washington D.C. area, you can get them delivered the same day you order.
Fresh cookies would be a terrific gift for a new Mom, as a housewarming or birthday gift, or to treat yourself because you’ve been good
Click the “Free Cookies” link on the site, fill out the form, and you could be picked to receive two dozen cookies FREE! They pick a winner every month!
What I like best about the EatYourCookie site is that it is simple and straightforward. It tells you what they sell, who they are, how to contact them, and it’s easy to navigate. Check them out and treat yourself or someone you love to delicious fresh cookies!

I’ve had these cookies before and they are really amazing. I had the chocolate fudge cookies and the chocolate chip and both were among the best I’ve ever had. Great site for sending cookies.

THIS BUSINESS HAS ATROCIOUS SERVICE AND USES PROFANITIES AND OBSCENITIES TO RESPOND TO CUSTOMER INQUIRIES.
ALTHOUGH THE COMPANY WEBSITE NOW APPEARS TO BE BACK UP AND RUNNING (AND NOW INCLUDES A MESSAGE REGARDING THE INABILITY TO MAKE DELIVERIES) THIS SITE WAS NOT AVAILABLE YESTERDAY AND THE ASSOCIATED BUSINESS TELEPHONE NUMBER WAS ALSO DISCONNECTED.
PLEASE READ THE EMAIL EXCHANGE BELOW. AT ONE POINT, THE COMPANY STAFF MEMBER REFERS TO ME AS A “SILLY UNGRATEFUL BITCH”.
BELOW IS JUST ONE OF THE UNBELIEVABLE EMAILS IN A THREAD OF MANY; ALTHOUGH I HAVE REMOVED MY NAME FROM THIS CORRESPONDENCE, THE REMAINING LANGUAGE IS DOCUMENTED VERBATIM. I HAVE FILED A COMPLAINT WITH THE LOCAL BETTER BUSINESS BUREAU.
The email exchange below is a dialogue between me and a company representative (likely the owner, in my opinion) that was triggered after I inquired about an order that I placed on Tuesday, July 28 (the same date my credit card was charged) and a concern that I had the following day (less than 24 hours later) when I received an “auto-reply” message indicating that the company’s services had been interrupted and I would not be receiving my order. Although the company stated that refunds would be issued, I inquired about this event because it seemed suspicious that a company would charge my credit card one day, then the next day have no functioning/accessible website and no in-service telephone number. Also, in subsequent emails, the company representative insisted that my funds had already been refunded, which was inconsistent with the information provided by the bank -
. . . OF COURSE, PLEASE REVIEW THIS EMAIL EXCHANGE FROM THE BOTTOM, UP - DISTURBING!!

Of course, I (gladly) will be sending this email to the proper authorities - thanks for providing additional evidence (so smart of you). Your name-calling and unprofessionalism is certainly indicative of an individual with bad business practices and absolutely no integrity or value system.
I lodged a valid complaint and instead of addressing the issue like a professional entrepreneur, you resorted to demeaning language and unnecessary obscenities. As a customer, I find your email appalling; yet, it is not shocking - given that it originates from a person who is obviously not experienced enough to operate a business efficiently (thus, your non-existent website and telephone disconnection) or communicate appropriately with potential customers. It’s no wonder you’re out of business.
By the way, my credit card has not been refunded - per the bank!!
Again, I will pursue this issue to no end . . . using mommy and daddy’s credit card for any subsequent legal fees - no less (wink).
. . . and, yes, thank goodness for my Associate’s degree!!

Thanks for your knee-jerk comments. Please allow me to respond.
Your credit card has already been issued a refund as per our last email.
In the original email we sent you we explained that due to the relocating of our entire operations we would not be able to complete any orders for the time being and that you would be given a refund ASAP (which you were).
In response to the fact that people, like yourself, were still placing orders even though we are going through this transition, we decided to pull the website so that no more orders could be placed and we wouldn’t have to deal with silly ungrateful bitches such as yourself.
How can you claim that we “vanished” when we have been responding to every one of your ridiculous emails?
Please stop referring to our generous 15% off coupon, given to customers who’s orders we can not complete, as a $15 off coupon. There is a big difference between percent and dollars. I made that distinction to you twice and twice you failed to understand it. So either put your Mommy or Daddy’s credit card away and get back to your 3rd grade math class studies, or enroll in your local community college for some refresher courses, because I am unable to determine whether you are a young bratty child or a sad uneducated adult.
It is indeed unfortunate that your tried to support our business. You are ungrateful and obnoxiously demanding. We would like to state most definitely that we are in no way apologetic to you for your crappy, sub-human behavior. We do not particularly care whether or not you believe us when we say we are moving our operations.
We highly recommend you do not waste your time “pursuing this issue to no end” as that time could be much better spent educating yourself and perhaps taking a course in how to politely interact with other human beings and stop behaving like an hysterical chimpanzee.
Thanks so much for your comments to EatYourCookie.com!

You and your business are pathetic, unethical, and a pure disgrace!! Your website no longer exists, the phone number is no longer in service, and the credit card transaction was charged - criminally!! You knew you would be out of business when you charged my credit card; afterall, I made the purchase on Tuesday, July 28 (yesterday) and by Wednesday, July 29 (less than 24 hours later) your establishment had vanished, virtually and otherwise. I will be reporting this event to the Better Business Bureau and alerting the proper authorities.
Your behavior is fraudulent (at best), and please do not try to fool customers with the $15 off “mythical” coupon because there is no way to use the discount, as the website no longer exists.
It is unfortunate that I (in good faith) merely tried to support your business and would have been a regular customer had I gotten what I paid for, or - at least - been treated fairly and respectfully. You seem to be non-apologetic in your actions and, somehow, believe that by “alleging” relocation of operations, customers should accept this excuse. Of course, I certainly do not believe that you are moving anywhere. Trust me, I will pursue this issue to no end!!

You will not be reimbursed. You’re credit card has already will be refunded the full amount. Depending on your bank you should see the charges reversed in 3-5 days.
Please reread the email and you will find the code to use the 15% off coupon.

As you know, my credit card was used to complete this transaction. EXACTLY when AND how will I be reimbursed? Also, as you know, there was no $15 coupon appended to the email below.
