DVD Review- Russell Brand in New York City

If Russell Brand looks familiar, it’s because he co-starred in Forgetting Sarah Marshall as singer Aldous Snow, and hosted the MTV Movie Awards in 2008. Personally, I’m fascinated by him, because he’s so striking to look at and then he opens his mouth and what comes out is so clever, so sharp and biting and witty, and so freaking funny.
In this DVD, Brand performs in New York in his debut for Comedy Central. You’ll crack up listening to him talk about the A-listers he meets at award shows and parties and how odd they are. What I like about Russell Brand is that he doesn’t seem to take himself too seriously, despite his flamboyant appearance. It might just be part of his schtick, but he seems genuinely baffled by all the attention he’s getting considering how many things there are right here in America that we could be laughing at instead.

I still live in the same part of London that Russell lived in before he was famous in the UK. I’ve followed his rise to fame. He is gorgeous and very professional. I wish him every success in the US.
