Here we are just a day or so away from bringing in the New Year and I’m still talking about Christmas. More specifically Christmas ornaments. I want to introduce you to ‘9 Mile Schoolhouse’.

The 9 Mile Schoolhouse has been a beloved tradition in Western Montana for 30 years. Started by Hanneke and Les Ippisch, every year, the morning after Thanksgiving, Montanans would flock to the Schoolhouse to purchase hand-made wooden Christmas products. When he was a child, Kurt Cyr would go to the Christmas Market every year; he loved the beautiful products and admired the way the Ippisches had restored the Schoolhouse.

When Hanneke and Les held their last Christmas Market in 2002, everyone thought it would be the last one ever. But in 2006, Kurt Cyr purchased the Schoolhouse and revived the Christmas market. “The 9 Mile Schoolhouse was such a magical part of my childhood,” said Kurt. “I want to recapture that magic.” Jay, the administrative brains behind the operation, helps Kurt do just that.
From ornaments, decorations to textiles, the 9 Mile Schoolhouse has something for everyone. All of their products are made in the USA and shipping is only $5 - no matter how much you buy.

A good blogging friend of mine passed along some handcrafted ornaments from 9 Mile Schoolhouse for me to sample. She also gave me 4 pig ornaments to giveaway to one lucky Lookit! I Spy…. reader. I’ve seen these little piggies for myself and they are oh so cute. And they look even more adorable hanging on my tree. And they would be perfect for anyone out there that collects pigs. As soon as I started browsing around on the 9 Mile Schoolhouse site, I fell in love with more than a few things, and I can say for a fact that I will be doing some shopping in the near future.

If these little pigs are something you want to possibly add to your Christmas tree next year, head on over to the 9 Mile Schoolhouse and look around. When you are done taking it all in, come back here and leave us a comment on this post as to what you liked the best. One lucky reader will be selected at random (via random.org) to be the new caretaker of 4 little adorable pigs. Please make sure you leave a valid email address in your comment so that we can contact you if you win. Contest will end on Friday January 2nd at midnight (Mountain Time).

GOOD LUCK to all, and don’t forget to check back tomorrow for another giveaway!
